Dr. Steve Gallon III addressed a group of students at the University of Miami earlier this year as a part of ‘Canes Lead – a university program that supports current and emerging student leaders who have a willingness to develop and seek leadership roles and opportunities.
Dr. Gallon III chronicled his leadership journey and shared with the students critical attributes and qualities that led to his success as a leader. As CEO of Tri-Star Leadership, he emphasized the importance of having a strong belief system that is linked to the body of work in which the leadership is being provided. He described it as enabling one to lead from the heart.
Dr. Gallon III also emphasized the importance of being competent and knowledgeable in one’s area. This requires education and the study of one’s craft. Lastly, Dr. Gallon III advised the group of student leaders that they must commit themselves to action.
“Knowing a whole lot and doing nothing, means and produces zero,” said Dr. Gallon III.
