On Saturday, September 13, Dr. Steve Gallon III shared his sentiments toward leadership as an invited guest speaker at the Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida’s Miami Community Leadership Forum.
The forum supports individuals committed to becoming leaders in their community through the infusion of new, innovative, and grassroots leadership.
Dr. Gallon’s theme, ‘Leadership is Action Not Position!’ explained leadership in itself does not require the holding of an official position or title. Instead, leadership according to Dr. Gallon III is about encouraging others to make a decision to follow you when they don’t have to.
Participants of the forum gathered from several states including Pennsylvania and North Carolina. The forum was held at the Frankie Shannon Rollie Neighborhood Center.
