Dr. Steve Gallon III was pleased to launch a 2-Day professional development opportunity for teachers focused on meeting the needs of at-risk and underperforming students. The Professional Development, entitled “Do Not Give Up On Me: Understanding and Addressing the Needs of At-Risk Learners, engaged teachers in the exploration of evidence-based educational approaches to at-risk students. Dr. Steve Gallon III reminded teachers that the most important responsibility of a teacher is to touch and change lives of their students. Dr. Steve Gallon III also explored the continued nationwide challenge of educating urban youth, along with the risks and rewards of failing to do so. Dr. Steve Gallon III believes that leadership is action, not position. His work in the urban core continues. So does the struggle to reach and teach all children, especially those in the urban core. #IAmAnEducator
